[ARCHIVED] New Pet Waste Stations

Pet Waste Station Photo

Mount Rainier is about to become even more dog-friendly! The City is installing eleven new pet waste stations, nearly quadrupling the number across town. Funded through a grant by the Chesapeake Bay Trust, these stations expand the City’s initiative to make neighborhoods clean, safe, and healthy for community members and dogs alike.
The new pet waste stations will allow residents to easily dispose of pet waste and pick up bags to clean up after their dogs. This effort encourages responsible pet ownership, helping to keep dog waste off the streets and out of the Chesapeake Bay.
Residents and their furry friends are invited to a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, May 28, at 11 am at City Hall, 3503 Perry Street to celebrate this step toward a cleaner and dog-friendly City.
The locations of the new pet waste stations were determined based on community feedback.
