The City of Mount Rainier Holds Annual Pride Parade   

(Mount Rainier, MD) – The City of Mount Rainier will be celebrating the last weekend of Pride Month through the City’s annual Pride Parade on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. The yearly event is a gathering of equality-minded community members from the City and neighboring communities to celebrate and recognize the LGBTQI+ community’s rights and promote diversity and acceptance.   

Clusters of rainbows are expected to make their way throughout Mount Rainier streets from Thomas Stone Elementary School, the parade’s staging area, with rainbow-themed decorated vehicles and floats, and colorful ensembles from parade participants.  The parade will end the City Hall and a short program, and a street fest, featuring Queen Story Time, free rainbow-themed cupcakes and ice cream, and kids' activities, will follow thereafter.
