City of Mount Rainier's General Election is Monday, May 5!

Election Day is May 5, 2025 at the Mount Rainier Nature Center

The City of Mount Rainier will conduct its General Election on Monday, May 5, 2025, from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Mount Rainier Nature Center. Voters will elect individuals to three key positions: Mayor, Councilmember for Ward 1, and Councilmember for Ward 2.

Ballot counting will begin at 8:30 p.m. and will be livestreamed on the City’s official Facebook page.

Construction for the 31st Street and Perry Street Intersection Improvement Project Begins May 5

Notice of Construction: 31st Street and Perry Street Intersection Project

The City of Mount Rainier will begin construction on the Intersection Improvement Project at 31st Street and Perry Street starting Monday, May 5, 2025, with an anticipated completion date of May 31, 2025, weather permitting. The work will be conducted by D&F Construction.

Thank you for participating in this year’s Springtime Egg Hunt hosted by the City of Mount Rainier. We extend our sincere appreciation to everyone who attended, as well as to the dedicated partners and volunteers who helped make the event a success. Photos from the event are now available on the City’s official Facebook page.

If you are in need of bales of hay from the event, they will be available for pickup at the Department of Public Works office on Monday between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., while supplies last.

Celebrate love, joy, and community at the City of Mount Rainier’s Annual Pride Day on June 7th! The festivities begin with a Pride Parade at 10 AM, starting from Thomas Stone Elementary School and marching to the Gateway Farmer’s Market, where the celebration continues with a short program and community resources that uplift and support our LGBTQ+ family.
