Safe Streets Project Update

The City of Mount Rainier is advancing its Safe Streets for All (SS4A) Initiative. In September, the City finalized the SS4A Grant Agreement with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), securing five years to complete 10 key safety projects across the City.

Next Steps: The National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) will conduct an environmental study to assess potential environmental impacts, ensuring each project is safe and sustainable.

CITY COMPLETES FY 2024 AUDIT REPORT

FY 2024 Financial Audit

The City of Mount Rainier has successfully completed its Fiscal Year 2024 financial audit, ending June 30, with results reflecting a positive financial outlook.

This audit, conducted by an independent auditor and overseen by the City Manager and Finance Department, offers a transparent and thorough review through three main financial statements: government-wide, fund-level, and detailed notes, with additional supplementary information for a full assessment of the City’s fiscal health.

Call for Artists Mural Project

The City of Mount Rainier's Department of Economic Development invites artists to bring their designs to life with its newest mural project. As part of the city’s revitalization efforts, this wall along Rhode Island Avenue will serve as a vibrant canvas for the chosen artist.

Dr. Tiffany Daniel, an Army veteran with 26 years of service in Germany, Panama, and the Pentagon, brings a wealth of experience and dedication as our guest speaker.  Dr. Daniel is currently a Sr. Information Specialist, talk show host, bestselling author, fitness instructor, and an active member in various veterans’ and wellness organizations.

The City of Mount Rainier rolls out round 2 of the Youth Scholarship Program for the 2024-2025 school year. The Mayor and Council will award 7 deserving students a $3000 scholarship grant to assist their education journey.
