An improved property tax credit will benefit seniors and military retirees homeowners in the City. In the May 2022 Legislative Meeting, Mayor and Council passed an ordinance that will expand the eligibility of homeowners 65 years old and older and retired veterans who have lived in their homes for 30 or more years (reduced from 40 years), to receive a 20% tax credit for 5 consecutive years.
The homeowner must submit an application every year.
Application for Fiscal Year 2023 must be submitted before April 1, 2023.
