The City of Mount Rainier announces the launch of its new and enhanced website on July 3rd, addressing residents’ changing digital needs and keeping them informed.
The new upgraded website has new and enhanced features that will meet the digital needs of the Mount Rainier community:
- Online Payment: Community members can now pay online for requested services, permits and inspection fees, and other payments.
- Online Request Forms: Simplified forms for residents to submit various requests, streamlining processes and increasing efficiency.
- Agenda Center: Easy access to meeting agendas and minutes, promoting transparency and engagement.
- Improved Navigation: Enhanced navigation based on best practices, making it easier for users to find information.
- Email and Text Notifications: Subscribers may opt for email and text notifications to receive alerts and information based on their preferences. Current website subscribers may update their preferences by visiting the new website.
“This new website is the result of the long-standing request from our community members to modernize the City’s digital service. We listened and the new website represents our commitment to providing more accessible and efficient online services to our community,” Mayor Celina Benitez said.
The 3-month project was led by the Communications Team and overseen by Mayor Celina Benitez and City Manager Kourosh Kamali. It was completed in collaboration with CivicPlus, a government website solutions company servicing 4000 local governments.
HOW TO PAY ONLINE:
- Go to the City of Mount Rainier’s Website: www.mountrainiermd.org
- Click the Online Payments Graphic Button on the homepage.
- You will be directed to a page that contains the City’s online forms. Click the appropriate form for your request.
- Fill out the form. A payment field will be at the end of the form.
- Pay using your credit card or bank account.

- Go to www.mountrainiermd.org/notifyme or click the “STAY CONNECTED” graphic button on the homepage.
- Enter your email address and phone number on the fields and save!
- Below the page, Click the mail icon phone icon, or both for the categories you want to subscribe to – from City News, Calendar Events, and Mount Rainier Alerts!
- Current email subscribers can update their notification preferences by following the steps above.

- Fill out the form straight from your phone or your computer!

- City Hall staff will review your form and contact you!
