Mount Rainier will explode with rainbow colors as the city comes together to celebrate Pride Day, organized by the Mount Rainier Recreation Committee on Saturday, June 15, from 10:30 am to 1 pm. The City invites all community members to come together to promote LGBTQI+ rights and embrace the spirit of love, acceptance, and bodily autonomy.

The festivities kick off with the Pride Parade at 10:30 am starting at the Thomas Stone Elementary School parking lot and ending at the City Hall Annex.

After the parade, the celebration continues with a short program and fun, family-friendly activities, including a drag show, face painting, arts and crafts, and more! This year’s celebration will also feature over a dozen resources focused on bodily autonomy and human rights.  This year, the most creatively dressed furry friends will receive an award.

Temporary road closures will be in effect during the parade. Perry Street from 3400 to 3600 will be closed to traffic from 8 AM to 7 PM for the Pride Parade and the community-led Juneteenth Celebration that follows from 1 PM to 6 PM.
